The Vice-Reine (Basilarchia floridensis)

Basilarchia floridensis (Bas-i-lar'chi-a flor-i-den'sis) PLATE XXVIII, FIG. 4 This species closely resembles the viceroy, B. archippus, except that it is of a much darker color. It is found in Georgia and Florida, and is supposed to mimic the queen, Anosia berenice, hence the popular name suggested above.
