Alabama Terrapin

Colouration
The pattern above is much like that of C. rubriventris, but the plastron is yellow instead of deep orange or red, and is marked with brown reticulations.
Dimensions
The carapace of an adult example is about 12 inches long.
Distribution
The type specimens were taken near Mobile Bay, Alabama, which locality points to the species displaying a tendency to frequent salt marshes.

Carapace rather high and globular in the front. Head of fair size.
