Mountain Crescent-spot
Butterfly.--Upon the upper side the wings are marked much as in P. camillus, but are prevalently bright fulvous, with the dark markings quite slight in most specimens. On the under side the wings are pale yellowish-fulvous. The female usually has the secondaries crossed by a broad median band of very pale spots. Expanse, male, 1.25 inch; female, 1.50 inch.
Early Stages.-Unknown.
The habitat of this species is the Sierras of California and Nevada.
