La Reine Des Belges

A New Stone in the History of Diamonds--A Gift from the Archduchess of Hungary to her Daughter the Queen of Belgium.

THIS diamond which, through the kindness of Baron Solvyns, the Belgian Ambassador in London, comes to light now for the first time, is in the possession of H.M. the Queen of the Belgians. It weighs 50 carats. Her Majesty received it from her mother the Archduchess, wife of the Archduke Joseph, Palatine of Hungary, brother of the late Emperor of Austria.
