Sium cicutaefolium. Parsley Family.

Two to six feet high. Stem.--Stout. Leaves.--Divided into from three to eight pairs of sharply toothed leaflets. Flowers.--White, in compound umbels. This plant grows in water or wet places throughout North America. I have found it in great abundance both in swamps along the coast, and bordering mountain streams far inland. Its Parsley-like flower-clusters at once indicate the family of which it is a member
