Low Blueberries

Vaccinium. Heath Family.

Six inches to three feet high. Flowers.--White or reddish-white; appearing in spring or early summer. Calyx, Corolla, etc.--As in other members of this genus. Fruit.--A large blue berry; sweet.

The low blueberries usually ripen in July or August. They are found on dry hills from New Jersey northward. being especially abundant in New England.
