Dangleberry
Gaylussacia frondosa. Heath Family.
A loosely branched shrub; from three to six feet high. Leaves.--Oblong; blunt; pale beneath. Flowers.--Much as in above, but borne in loose, slender clusters. Fruit.--A large blue berry with a whitish bloom; sweet and edible. The dangleberry is found along the coast of New England and in the mountains farther south. It flowers in May or June.
