DD. With none of the veins of the fore wings unusually swollen at the base. E. Antennæ clothed abundantly with scales, at least above.
F. Fore wings at least twice as long as broad; in the only species occurring in America north of Mexico the wings are black banded with yellow. (Heliconide), p. 201.
