This species, which is generally referred to the genus Aporophila Guenee, is placed here on the authority of Prof. J. B. Smith. In addition to the figure given in the plate we have inserted a cut drawn from the type. By the help of these the student will no doubt be able to identify the species. The insect is found in California.
