Strecker's Day-sphinx
The moth in the general style of its maculation is very much like the preceding species, but is considerably larger, and the colors are decidedly brighter. The caterpillar is quite different in its markings from the larva of L. gaurae.
The habitat of this species is Texas, so far as is now known.
One other species of Pogocolon, P. vega Dyar, occurs in our region. It is much darker in color than the two former species, which it otherwise somewhat closely resembles.
