This species, which is closely allied to the preceding in its habits, may be distinguished by the white antennae, and the unspotted abdomen. There are specimens of the preceding species, which have the wings as immaculate as in H. textor. The range of the insect is from Canada to the Gulf, and from Nova Scotia to California.
