This species, which may be easily distinguished from the preceding by the fact that the tip of the abdomen is not marked by a dark fuscous spot, and by the narrower marginal band of the secondaries, as well as by the difference in the color of the wings, is a common species in the Atlantic States, and ranges westward into the basin of the Mississippi.
