There can be no difficulty in identifying this well-marked but obscurely colored hawkmoth, which occurs in Florida and Georgia, and even straggles now and then as far north as New Jersey. It is very common in the Antilles and South America. In Florida it is double-brooded, appearing on the wing in May and September. The larva feeds on the Vitaceae.
