2026 Editor's Note: Commonly known as MacCulloch's forester moth, this species is now formally classified as Androloma maccullochii. While the caterpillars feed on fireweed, the adults are typically observed in spring and summer, moving to higher elevations as spring and summer seasons progress. In modern catalogs, it is assigned a MONA number within the range of 8322 to 11233, a system established in 1983 to organize the approximately 12,000 types of moths found in North America.
