2026 Editor's Note: While this text describes Crambus alboclavellus as common in the Appalachian region, modern entomological surveys have tracked its seasonal activity alongside other sod webworm species. Research conducted in the late 20th century utilized light traps to identify that this species is among thirteen species of sod webworm moths active between May and October. These studies further categorized the moth's life cycle, noting that it is typically univoltine, meaning it produces a single generation per year. (Ed: GG 2026-08-11)
