Saw-flies — Part 1
Saw-flies — Part 2

2026 Editor's Note: Sawfly larvae are often mistaken for butterfly or moth caterpillars, but can be distinguished by counting their prolegs: caterpillars have at most five pairs, while sawflies have six or more. The name 'sawfly' comes from thesaw-like ovipositor of adult females, which they use to cut into plants and lay eggs. (Ed: DS 2026-08-11)
