Long-horned Grasshoppers — Part 1
Long-horned Grasshoppers — Part 2

2026 Editor's Note: Members of the family Tettigoniidae, commonly known as long-horned grasshoppers or katydids, are distinguished by their long, filiform antennae and blade-like ovipositors in females. While many are terrestrial herbivores, some species are considered pests of trees and shrubs, and others can only be distinguished from one another by their unique mating calls. Unlike short-horned grasshoppers, these insects have auditory organs located on the tibia of the front legs. (Ed: GG 2026-08-11)
